Welcome to Seattle WA
Aligne Orthodontics & Orthotropics, the Office of
Dr Stepanka Chae
Our mission is to provide the community of Seattle with the best integrative, non-extraction orthodontic and orthotropic treatments that:
Create beautiful smiles
Encourage balanced facial growth
Establish proper jaw and muscle function
Help improve nasal breathing and adequate airway flow
Rebalance head and neck structures
Promote overall health
Rather than only treating symptoms, our goal is to identify and address the causes of crooked teeth (malocclusions) and facial disharmony. Such an approach may yield greater stability of the treatment outcome and decrease the potential for relapse in the future. Below are just a few of the many services we offer:
Smile Straightening & Airway Improvement, Structural Rebalancing
Traditional orthodontic appliances such as wires & brackets
Less traditional appliances such as Crozat, ALF, Myobrace
Appliance therapy to deal with overbite and alignment imperfections that may help improve breathing, sleep and overall health; those appliances are not the same as “sleep appliances”. Sleep-disordered breathing conditions such as OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) and UARS (upper airway resistance syndrome) need to be properly diagnosed and managed by a qualified sleep physician.

Orthodontics provide straighter teeth and improved bite
Properly planned and executed orthodontic treatment can provide valuable benefits to overall structural balance, optimize function of your bite as well as esthetics. Whether it's a straighter smile you desire or you wish to improve your chewing, breathing, speaking, or your structural stability, orthodontics is a part of your solution.
Invisalign® is a clear alternative to traditional wire braces and brackets
Invisalign® technology is a tool that serves as an alternative to braces. However, not every patient is a good candidate for this type of treatment. We prescribe appliances to fit the treatment objectives, not the other way around. You can be confident knowing that Dr Chae has the extensive knowledge and treatment options to better serve you.
Improve your airway and your overall quality of life
Human body is one integrated system. Facial growth patterns, the way teeth line up and function can play a significant role in one’s quality of life. Altered dental and facial pattens can contribute to headaches, TMJ discomfort, neck and back pain, breathing disruptions during sleep, etc.
Proper diagnosis and careful treatment planning can decrease or eliminate many of these symptoms and improve breathing, quality of sleep and quality of life in general.
